MUCOSYTE SACHETS 10ml

A medical device CE that reduces inflammation and pain in the entire oral cavity, providing fast relief. It does so by means of its unique and effective formulation. MUCOSYTE is indicated as an adjuvant for the treatment of lesions of the oral cavity and oropharyngeal tract. It forms a film that covers and protects the oral mucosa from lesions of diverse aetiology, including mucositis and stomatitis caused by drugs, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, oral cavity surgery, traumatic ulcers, dentures and braces, BMS (burning mouth syndrome), nutritional deficiency or aging. It is also indicated in the treatment of diffuse canker sores.

Composition:
  • MUCOSYTE contains three active ingredients that act in a synergistic manner
  • PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone), synthetic polymer with the ability to bond easily with other molecules to form a stable macromolecule, increasing the effect of other active ingredients.
  • Verbascoside (extract of Syringa vulgaris) molecule of plant origin capable of exerting a superior anti-inflammatory activity than hydrocortisone and triamcynolone.
  • Hyaluronic Acid (sodium hyaluronate) “physiological” molecule that enhances re-epithelialisation in wound healing processes.
Ingredients:
  • Demineralised water, maltodextrin, polyvinylpyrrolidone, propylene glycol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, licorice flavor, mint flavor, extract of Syringa vulgaris (Verbascoside), disodium EDTA, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, citric acid, sodium saccharin, sodium hyaluronate.

METHOD OF USE

The product is emulsified with water in a glass, once the patient has applied the solution orally, and distributed it evenly throughout the mouth trying to maintain it for at least for a minute and then spitting it out. It is possible to gargle the solution around the lower parts of the oropharyngeal cavity. Depending on the location and severity of mucositis, MUCOSYTE can also be used undiluted or at its purest concentration by applying it directly onto the lesions. MUCOSYTE, does not contain any alcohol. Please note that this product must not be swallowed. However, if this does occur, no contraindication is indicated. MUCOSYTE is, therefore, well – tolerated even in children, where its use is indicated in the treatment of young patients with mucositis.
